Reflection
At first I had no idea what I wanted to do to make a difference at all. I like animals and the idea to volunteer at an animal shelter came up. I thought it would be fun. Then, I learned that, because this would be my first time volunteering, I wouldn't have been able to volunteer with the animals, unless they were staying overnight. And, I was volunteering to clean. But, I still decided to stick with my idea and volunteer at Best Friends, and I ended up having a lot of fun. I think I blew my mom's mind though. She kept saying things like, "You volunteered to clean, and enjoyed it?" But it really was fun. I had so much fun that I am signed up to volunteer again.

I didn't know a lot about what Best Friends did as a no-kill animal shelter. But, when I got there I was able to learn about it from the employees that were working there and there were a lot of signs that talked about what they did and their mission.
